END DEBUT ZA-JI - CHINESE ACROBATICS SPECTACULAR 
Za-Ji
(variety of feats) - Chinese acrobats from the city of Hefei, famous for being
the centre of science and education, in the Anhui Province of China will make
their debut in the West End. Founded in 1956, Anhui Acrobatics is a full time,
professional troupe dedicated to performing on both domestic and international
stages. As part of a UK tour, this award winning company will display their remarkable
talents live on a West End stage. This spectacular show encompasses a tremendous
range of skilful and breathtaking disciplines performed by the 35 strong artists.
Ariel stories and visions are presented through breathtaking flying and trapeze
skills. Awe inspiring balancing and acrobatic acts suspend the imagination. Imbued
with all the disciplines of historic China, its music and its costumes, the mesmerizing
choreography of Za-Ji transports the audience straight to the ancient and mythical
heart of China. Originally acrobatics in China were a product of the people
and were interwoven with the people's labour, daily lives and religious ceremonies.
Developed over centuries, the art of acrobatics presents a reflection of the natural
and exuberant vitality of the Chinese people. Chinese reform policies in the 1970s
opened the way for the Anhui Acrobatics troupe to travel and to date, they have
made more than 50 trips abroad. They are committed to introducing traditional
Chinese art and culture to foreign audiences. Through its dramatic performances
Anhui Acrobatics promote mutual understanding and friendly ties between China
and international audiences. Za-Ji will entertain and enlighten audiences
through its vibrant expression of Chinese culture presented in this impressive
